Key West, the southernmost point in the United States, is famous for water sports, lively nightlife, beaches, historic sites and its pastel, conch-style architecture.Located closer to Cuba than to Miami, Key West is Florida’s irreverent southernmost subtropical paradise, a unique confluence of history, climate, natural beauty, cultural diversity, architecture and romantic appeal. There is an event every week,so boredom is definitely off the table. At the time of our visit we found ourselves in a middle of an international power boat race...

Just outside the downtown part of the city, Parrot Key Hotel occupies its own little piece of paradise on the north of the island. You can easily lose yourself in this mini private island hideaway that’s built around a series of terraced cottage-style accommodation buildings. With its own secluded waterfront, five acres of lavish tropical gardens and palm groves with four pools and a water sports marina, this takes the typical laid-back Keys utopia.

One of the most popular destinations on the island of Key West, Duval Street is the main drag of downtown, running north and south from the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Ocean. This is where the heartbeat of the city comes to life with a diverse array of restaurants, shops, world famous pubs and attractions.
