El Diablo cafeteria-restaurant is your only way to see a volcano cooking food.Chicken are grilled over volcanic heat!We didn't have a chance to taste it but it looked great,and the restaurant itself has a panoramic view to the volcanic landscape.
The island is small enough to go around with a rented car,find all the charming places hidden on the island.Teguise has a market on sundays,a charming little place with beautiful architecture unique to the whole island,thanks to Cesar Manrique.
When visiting the north part of the island don't miss Mirador del Rio with its magnificent view over La Graciosa.
If you are looking for an otherworldly landscape with a beautiful beach visit El Golfo.
In the mean time don't forget to try some localities like a catch of the day and some wrinkly potatoes.
On the south of the Island is Costa del Papagayo with its beautiful beaches,spend a day on the sun,relaxing.
Fuerteventura
The island is close to Fuerteventura,with a ferry it's easy to cross over and make a day trip out of it.You can find adventures like buggy tours into the sand dunes of the north, or eating out,or just simply enjoying the beautiful island and beaches.

There is another island close to Lanzarote,La Graciosa.It is one of the last places in Europe with no asphalted roads.
