ingredients:
3 eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1 tbs sugar
vanilla
pinch of salt
2 tbs butter

For the caramelized apple:
half an apple
10 tbs sugar
2-3 tbs butter
3 tbs condensed milk
handful of walnuts
cooking instructions:
In a bowl beat the eggs wit a pinch of salt,add sugar and vanilla,then the flour,mix it smooth then add the milk,mix it well and let it sit for 10-20 min.
To make the caramel melt the sugar,then add the butter and the condensed milk,mix it to get a creamy sauce.Dip the thinly sliced apple,and chop a handful of walnuts for the sauce,after taking out the apples(straight into the batter),mix in the nuts.
In the mean time pre heat the oven on 200C,place a cast iron skillet in the oven for a few minutes to heat up,then add the butter to the skillet and make sure there is butter everywhere evenly,including the sides.Then pour your batter into it,place the caramelized apple slices in the batter then put it back in the oven and bake for about 25-30 min.
Serve it hot with the extra caramel,dust with powdered sugar,and enjoy!
Alternatively you can make just the plain batter and eat it with fresh fruit,or leave the sugar and vanilla out and eat it savory,bacon/ham/eggs...any topping you like.
